Cut the melons into slices or cubes, place them in a jar interspersed with carrot slices.
On the bottom of the jar before putting the watermelon I put a few pieces of celery and a little dill + a clove of garlic.
I did the same after I put the melon slices, on top of them + a little sliced green pepper.
Heat the water, add salt and stir until it melts, let it cool, it may be a little warm, and pour over the watermelon.
the amount of salt is measured per liter of water, ie one tablespoon per liter of water.
It lasts about 4-5 days if it is warm until it is good for consumption.
Check from time to time that it does not stick.
when it is pickled or has the taste you like we put it in the fridge.
Also during the 4-5 days once a day you must turn the jar upside down to mix the liquid well.
Good appetite!!!!
Pickled watermelon for the winter!

INGREDIENT:
For brine (for 1l of water):
METHOD OF PREPARATION:
1.Prepare jars and lids preventively: wash and sterilize them.
2. Use small watermelons, maybe not too ripe. Wash them well and dry them. If you notice any damage to the shell, remove them.
3.Cut the watermelon into slices 1-1.5 cm thick, then cut into pieces. Put them in jars.
4. Bring the water to a boil, pour it into the melon jars and leave them for 10 minutes.
5. Then drain the water into the pan, put it on the fire and bring it to the boil. Pour the water back into the jars and leave them for another 10 minutes.
6. Drain the water again and prepare the brine. Add sugar, salt and vinegar, depending on the volume. Stir, bring the brine to a boil and let it simmer for 30 seconds.
7. Fill the jars with brine and close them tightly. Turn them upside down, cover them with something warm and leave them until they cool completely.
In winter, watermelon is perfect for a festive meal or for every day. The die is as delicious as the fruit.
To begin with, the melons must be pricked around the tail to have a place to pull the brine.
We place the melons in the barrel together with the cherry twigs. Add the carrots and celery cut into slices or slices, hot peppers, as you like, dried dill (it would be good to place them for the first time at the bottom of the barrel, then among the melons and on top of them). Next are garlic, mustard seeds and peppercorns.
We add salt water, to a liter of water a tablespoon of pickle salt. We make sure the brine covers the melons. The next day we have to look at them if they have pulled more salt water, we have to be careful to refill them, so that the melons are not left uncovered with brine. Be very careful not to form that flower above them, the melons must be rotated every few days.
L & acircngă melon, if you want, you can pickle gogonele or cauliflower.

VIDEO RECIPE
Cut the watermelon into slices, smaller or larger, as you prefer. I prefer to have the right size, about 1-1.5 cm thick. We also cut the melon, we will first clean the seeds, then we will cut the slices.
I prepared 1.7 liter jars, which I washed and sterilized before.
At the bottom of the jar we place cherry leaves, vine leaves, they will strengthen the melons. You can also add raspberry leaves, horseradish leaves, whatever you have.
We start to place the melon slices over the leaves. We also place the carrot fir trees as a decoration. We also add onions, you can cut it, so that it fits better.
Here you can see better how to make carrot fir trees:
In each jar we put a piece of hot pepper, a clove of garlic cut in half, half a teaspoon of pepper, dried dill, celery leaves.
Fill each jar with warm water, I put about 1 liter of water in each jar.
Pour the water from the jars into a pot, for each liter of water we will put a tablespoon of salt, a tablespoon of powdered sugar, two tablespoons of vinegar and let it boil.
When the brine boiled, we poured it into jars, we placed a metal tray underneath, to attenuate the thermal shock.
Then we put the lids on and tighten them well, turn them upside down and check them for leaks, cover them with thick napkins and leave them like that until the next day.
After 24 hours, we will drain the brine again, bring it to the boil and pour it back into the jars. After another 24 hours, we will put the jars on the table and watch them for a week, so that the lids do not swell.
Gina's advice
If you see that the juice is disturbed or a lid is swollen, immediately drain the brine and bring it to the boil, change the lids, pour over the melons again. It works.
This mixture of watermelon and melon is absolutely delicious. I also put in the can, whole melons, you can see that I left the recipe above.
After 7-8 days they are good to eat & # 128578
